Guitar Amp Speaker
I recently bought a mini amp from the smokey amps website http://www.smokeyamps.com/
The sound of the smokey amp is a bit harsh (the mini speaker has treble only), but attached to an external speaker it sounds decent. For outside use, or in locations with no electricity it is ideal, as it is 9V battery powered.
I got this cute looking blue plastic speaker from my brother, and replaced the cardboard back plate with plexi (inherited from an uncle who passed away), attached a jack socket and voila. The speaker element looks really good, and it's satisfying to see how one thing is soldered to the other.
